The White Wolf

As long as I can remember, I've had incredibly vivid dreams. When I was younger, I suffered from night terrors, and it wasn't until I was in my 20s that I was able to recognize what may have caused them. I still have them sometimes, but they are far less frequent and I've found meditation profoundly preventative. For the past few years, though, my dreams have felt more mystical, more spiritual, and over the last 12 months or so, I've traveled a great deal in my sleep. Sometimes waking more exhausted, but feeling ever so slightly, changed. On my travels, I haven't been alone. A white wolf, similar to the one in the photo, has been with me. He is comforting and protective, always in my sight. I'm not sure yet what or who he represents, but I've grown very attached to my mysterious companion. Although we can never be certain, I sense he'll continue to be with me as I set out on new journeys. And for that, I am thankful.
